[3.7 Legion] Low-Life Storm Burst Shadow (Trickster)

Intro & build description

No idea what to play in Legion? Reworked Storm Burst feels great to play if you haven’t tried it yet. While Legion league focuses on revamping melee combat and melee skills, it works great for spellcasters since items tend to get cheaper. Storm Burst feels great to use as soon as you get it (end of Act 1) and only keeps getting better as you progress through the game.

Build Pros

  • Very high single target/AoE damage
  • Can take a hit (not squishy)
  • Great clear speed
  • Fun gameplay

Build Cons

  • Some items might get expensive (depends on meta)

Hubris Circlet

Generic energy shield Hubris Circlet. Get as much energy shield as you can afford.

Body Armour

Shavronne's Wrappings

We need Shavronne’s Wrapping to us Low-life mechanics for extra aura and 30% more spell damage thanks to Pain Attunement.

Rare Gloves

Rare gloves with decent energy shield and elemental resistances.

Sin Trek

Sin Trek boots are used for life leech immunity, decent dexterity and good enough energy shield as well as 30% movement speed.

Left Ring

Rare Ring

Rare ring with strength, elemental resistances and -#total mana cost of skills.

Right Ring

Rare Ring

Rare ring with dexterity, elemental resistances and -#total mana cost of skills.

Presence of Chayula

It is vital for Low life build to have stun immunity. If you can’t afford Presence of Chayula just yet, use Eye of Chayula as alternative till you have currency for  upgrade.

Crystal Belt or Stygian Vise

Use crystal belt for energy shield boost and overall more defensive option or stygian vise belt for extra abyssal jewel socket.

1Hand Weapon

Rare Sceptre

Perfect stats for sceptre would be as follows:

gain #% of physical damage as extra fire damage

gain#% of elemental damage as extra chaos damage

spell damage, increased critical strike chance with spells, global critical strike multiplier and gain #% of non-chaos damage as extra chaos damage.

Rare Shield

Rare shield with 300+ energy shield, critical strike chance for spells and decent total elemental resistances. It depends on rest of your gear, if you can cap resists elsewhere, you can go for more damaging shield paired with spell damage and/or cast speed.

Energy From Within

Use this jewel in socket next to Melding notable for  15% extra energy shield.

Watcher's Eye

Perfect Watcher’s Eye for this build would be ”+#% to critical strike multiplier while affected by anger” and ”gain #% of physical damage as extra lightning damage while affected by wrath.”

Obviously, jewel like that can get very expensive, build works just fine without it. Focus on upgrade like this when you are min maxing you character.

Rare Jewels

  1. Increased maximum energy shield
  2. Critical strike multiplier with lightning skills
  3. Critical strike multiplier with elemental skills
  4. Increased global physical damage

Abyss Jewels

  1. +# to maximum life
  2. +#% to global critical strike muliplier
  3. #% increased global critical strike chance

Flask Setup

  1. Experimenter’s Quartz Flask of Staunching
  2. Ample Diamond Flask of Heat
  3. Experimenter’s Silver Flask of Warding
  4. Chemist’s Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline
  5. Atziri’s Promise

One comment

  1. Note: Use 2x 2-link setups in boots. Don’t link Blood Magic to shield charge. Link it only to Wrath.
