[3.7 Legion] Low Life Incinerate Occultist

Intro & build description

Incinerate got reworked and buffed in patch 3.3 alongside some very strong ignite buffs. If you haven’t played incinerate yet, or, are nostalgic about good old incinerate glory days, take a look at what we have to offer in this build guide. Not only it has some ridiculous single target damage potential, it is very mobile, fast-paced build to map with.

Build Pros

  • Insane damage potential
  • Mobile
  • Cheap to start with
  • Can do all the content with proper gear and some experience with the build
  • 5 utility flasks

Build Cons

  • Energy Shield based build (some people don't like giving up life flask)

Helmet

Hubris Circlet

Elder helmet crafted with decent energy shield and flat fire damage to spells. As far as helmet enchantments go, it’s up to your preference.

Body Armour

Shavronne's Wrappings

Must have item once build transitions into low life. Before that, any rare energy shield based chest with life and resistances works great.

Gloves

Rare Gloves

Rare energy shield based gloves with high ES, elemental resistances and if possible, some dexterity.

Boots

Rare Boots

High movement speed (25%-30%), decent energy shield and fair amount of elemental resistances.

Left Ring

Mark of the Shaper

Works very well with Elder ring for extra spell damage.

Right Ring

Rare Elder Ring

Elder Ring with flat fire damage to spells and attacks. It synergizes very well with Mark of the Shaper unique ring for additional 60-80% increased spell damage.

Amulet

Presence of Chayula

This amulet is not required by any means and it is kind of expensive for very casual players. Rare amulet with spell damage, global critical strike multiplier or cast speed works just fine. However, Presence of Chayula provides very hefty amount of chaos resistance and extra energy shield based on your maximum life.

Belt

Stygian Vise

Rare Stygian Vise belt with flat energy shield, strength and elemental resistances.

1Hand Weapon

Brightbeak

Use Brightbeak for mapping and switch to Doryani’s Cataclyst for stronger encounters.

Offhand

Rare Shield

Rare shield with %increased critical strike chance for spells, %increased fire/spell damage and elemental resistances.

Jewel

Watcher's Eye

Don’t worry if you can’t get your hands on once, it doesn’t make or break build. Simply quality of life addition. We want Watcher’s Eye with ”-# total mana cost of skills while affected by clarity”.

Note: if you are affected by mana problems, consider switching any curse for warlord’s mark.

Jewel

Rare Jewels

  1. Increased spell damage
  2. Increased global critical strike multiplier
  3. Increased Attack and Cast speed
  4. Increased maximum energy shield

Jewel

Abyssal Jewels

  1. # to maximum energy shield
  2. # fire damage to spells
  3. # global critical strike multiplier
  4. % increased attack/cast speed if crit recently

Flask

Flask Setup

  1. Atziri’s Promise
  2. The Wise Oak
  3. Chemist’s Diamond Flask of Heat
  4. Chemist’s Silver Flask of Warding
  5. Chemist’s Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline

Note: For The Wise Oak to work properly, your fire resistance must be the highest.

  1. Hi,

I can’t seem to get on low life, i’m on around 651/1594 now atm, heralt of fire i can’t use because i don’t have enough life . Any tips how i can get more reserved life?

  2. Is Righteous Fire linked? and if so, how do you keep it from killing you?

  3. Hello there,
I’m using this build but when i’m havin Vaal Righterous fire with cast when dmg taken procced, it deals to me DoT until i have 1 hp and no shield and didn’t find any way how to make this combo work. Am I doing something wrong or the combo doesn’t work anymore?

    • Ideally you should have the Vaal Righteous fire unlinked, because cast when damage taken procs the regular Righteous Fire version and you burn down.

  4. Why doesn’t this build us Chaos Inoculation?

  5. hey i can’t get blood magic to work it’s lvl 20 corrupted and discipline takes 59% and herald takes 43% of my life so i can’t activate both

  6. Hi again,

I’ve completed the main story with this build, I’m ready for maps but when should I transition into low life?

  7. I completed the skill tree, what nodes u recommend to take in the next levels? I see the build lacks a bit of mana.

  8. Why Shield Charge? why not use Flame dash + Faster Casting + Arcane Surge?
