Trial of The Ancestors Unit Tier List (Cheat Sheet)

This article aims to create an unit overview for each tribe and assign tiers to units based on their position in the Trials of the Ancestors tournaments. In this overview, you will be able to see the best units for Trial of the Ancestors tournament by position. This is based on my own experience and has helped me get to 2000 rating.

Units are going to be divided into 4 tiers:

• S Tier – one of the best units for the position.
• A Tier – good units for the position, but there are better ones.
• B Tier – acceptable for the position, if there are no better options available.
• C Tier – not good for the position.

Navali Tribe

Note: Navali units do not excel at any positions, but they can be great fillers if nothing else is available. They are also good to trade for other tribes’ favour if you need it.

Note: Tidecaller units are fantastic in defense and attack, especially when paired with Sun-blot Band item from Ramako tribe.

Note: Storm’s Guards are absolutely amazing at sieging enemy totems. Their proximity shield allows them to ignore pretty much any ranged attack. Do not use them in defense, because they can be slow and awkward in that position.

Ramako Tribe

Note: Sunset Sage is probably the best flanker / escort unit as well as fair defender. They are the only unit that can banish the totem of Death Guide units without getting stunned and taking damage.

Note: Jade Hulks are good flankers / escorts – they are quick, tanky and ignore taunts.

Note: Fieldmasters are probably some of the best units in the game for their price. They are always available and they can be amazing in the enemy backline, by creating walls to shield your units from ranged attacks. Titanic shells are amazing for 3 positions, but they are too expensive to be used reliably.

Note: Kitava favour is one of my least favourite ones. Frenzymonger can be very useful in an attack position, where the totem is vulnerable, due to the bonus he gives on death.
