[3.1] Bow Curse Support Duelist (Champion)

Intro & build description

Very interesting support build with 5 curses, every single party that uses cold or lightning damage will love you since build uses Avatar of Fire to convert all damage into fire damage and then, while applying curses, Elemental Equilibrium kicks in and reduces monster elemental resistances even further by 50% to lightning and cold which makes any lightning or cold damage dealers do INSANE damage.

Build Pros

  • Every party will love you
  • Easy to apply curses using Ice Shot with pierce
  • Grants HUGE defensive and offensive edge for party
  • Build uses two cursing setups, one offensive and one defensive.
  • 5 curses total

Build Cons

  • Suport build, you can't play solo.

So I haven’t played since the act 4 patch back in the day, but now that this is porting to XBone I managed to con five of my friends into playing with me (none of my friends play PC). I’m a bit rusty obviously, but this looked like an interesting build to help them along while we all acclimate to the game and I attempt to guide them with my minimal experience. Would you recommend this build for it, or should I stick to murderkilling things?

I don’t know about xbox or how would it play on console, but in general you need decent party to ”carry you” till you get your gear and they will have to do all the killing. Given they are new, might be difficult. On the other hand, playing with dedicated support would make it so much easier for them.

If none of your friends have played before, I’d choose something to show them how fun killing things in this game is. Once they’re somewhat adjusted to the game, you could pick up a support, at least that’s what I would do 🙂

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I think I have an idea of what to do for now, and I’ll save this one for later. Appreciate the help!

I am planning on running this on Xbox once my season starter is complete…my only question is how would I complete the labyrinth if the build is terrible at solo damage?

Phew, 6 Link quill rain is expensive

    • gems

If you’re feeling lucky, you could buy The Porcupine divination card set and get 6-linked normal rarity Short Bow and chance Quill Rain. Might turn out much cheaper than buying already 6-linked Quill Rain.
