Intro & build description
This is very strong Breach league Path of Exile build to have as first character. Once you get hatred/herald of ash and cyclone, you will start to melt things. Downside is, this is melee build and you have to pay attention to surroundings. High life pool helps a lot since you can take a huge hit or two and leech it back almost instantly.
Build Summary:
203 % life (can get 220%+ with jewels)
4x jewel sockets
408 % melee physical damage with axes
5.4 % life regeneration per second
Build Pros
- Cheap to start with
- High damage
- HC Viable
- Tanky
- Can do most content without problems
- Atziri Viable
- No build specific uniques
Build Cons
- Clear speed is slower than ranged builds, but not by much
- Melee build, you have to get up close to deal damage, which is disadvantage
Passive tree(s) and Path of Building

Royal BurgonetStat priority:
1) Life
2) Resistances
3) Armour
Note:
If you have capped resistances, try to find one with high armour
Body Armour
Lightning CoilAny rare chest is fine, Lightning Coil is endgame goal.
Astral Plate with high life, armour and resistances will do just fine.
Boots
Titan GreavesStat priority:
1) Movement Speed
2) Life
3) Resistances
4) Armour
Note:
Try to find boots with at least 25 % movement speed, 30% is ideal. Even if you have to sacrifice little bit of life or resistances
Belt
Leather BeltStat priority:
1) Life
2) Resistances
3) Weapon Elemental Damage
4) Armour
Note:
Belts with these four options can get expensive, belt with life and resistances will do just fine

Turquoise Amulet base is ideal for this build, since it has implicit with needed stats for this build.
2Hand Weapon
Atziri's DisfavourAny rare axe with high physical damage and attack speed will do the job, Atziri’s Disfavour is BiS for this build.
Hezmana’s Bloodlust is nice and cheap unique axe that will carry you till late maps. It has built in Blood Magic.
I just started making this build yesterday and today you’ve already changed up your tree, not cool man 🙁
Sorry for inconvenience, sadly, couple of passives got changed with 2.6 content update and we had to ‘update’ the tree.
I cant see what jewels are you using, could you write name of it please. Thank you
You should go for rare jewels with stat priority:
1)Increased maximum life
2)Increased physical damage
3)Increased area damage
4)Increased attack speed
no golems?
Flame or Chaos golem is good choice.
I just got a Hezmans Bloodlst, What do you suggest for the 6th gem to replace blood magic for the time being? until i get a Atziris?
You could use Concentrated Effect for more dmg or Increased Area of Effect for bigger Cyclone, that’s what I’d use.
i would like to know the lvls of youre gems. are they all maxed?
Not all gems are maxed, Cast When Damage Taken Support (CWDT) gems are lvl 3, Hatred is max, other gems linked to the CWDT are the maximum level it’s allowed for them to proc.
whats the flask setup for this build
2x instant recovery Life flasks (one or both with bleed removal) , Quicksilver Flask, Granite flask with armour and Basalt Flask with Freeze removal.
What’s your reasoning behind lightning coil?
Physical damage mitigation.
What do we feel about Kaoms Primacy as a main weapon?
I’d recommend Hezmana’s Bloodlust over Primacy.
What is the ascendancy? Slayer or what?
Yep.
Do you think Kaom`s plate is good idea? I kave Kitava’s feast is it good axe for thia build?
I wouldn’t use Kaom’s – we need gem setup for more damage. Kitava’s Feast is pretty good for the build.
I’m using Kitava’s Feast Axe and Kaom’s plate is it good for cycloner before Atziri’s? Im playing Legacy.
That should be enough to kill Atziri, yeah 🙂
While using Disfavour for cyclone we inflict bleeding on target, any reason we cant use blood-lust support for 69% extra physical (20/20 of course) since cyclone will bleed target? Haven’t run the math on it but I was thinking about that in addition to poison on hit instead of added fire and elemental for single target.
Sorry didn’t specify the blood lust, poison on hit is for the Warchief totem
You can’t inflict bleed with cyclone and disfavour if you are using Bloodlust gem linked to it because gem overrides Disfavours bleed option, you’d have to have another source of bleed on enemies. There’s a reason Bloodlust is one of the least often used gems.
Hi, I’m using this build recipe but for me (poe amateur) is missing info about:
1. What level of skill gems should have?
2. what about skill tree guide, what perk choose in first 20-40 levels?
Regards, good work by the way 😉
Skill gems should be leveled to LVL20, except those that are linked to Cast when Damage Taken (CWDT should be around lvl 9 and the ones linked to them should be similar levels, look at level requirements for those to trigger).
First 20-40 levels just get mix of %maximum life points and %increased physical/axe/melee damage and you should be alright. Also use unique axe such as Wideswing for leveling, it’s pretty great in low levels.
Why didn’t you take iron reflexes, would that be good?
Yes, this would work on the build pretty well.
Is shaper viable?
With good gear yes, this build can do Shaper.
