Intro & build description
If you are looking for a melee character that’s almost ranged, Impale Lancing Steel Champion should be on your radar for the 3.15 Expedition league. It’s a great choice for a league starter since it doesn’t require any specific uniques to work, although some are strongly recommended for the endgame.
Build Pros
- Tanky - has more than 6k life and decent dodge/spell dodge chance as well as leech
- Good clear speed due to the nature of Lancing Steel skill
- Good damage. Can do endgame bosses with enough currency invested
- Cheap to start, doesn't require specific uniques to work at the basic level

Rare HelmetLook for a rare helmet with at least 70 to maximum life and as much resistances as you can get.
Body Armour
Rare Body Armour with Hunter influenceLook for rare body armor with hunter influence.
Main mods we are looking for are:
1.) Attacks have +x% to Critical Strike Chance
2.) At least 90 to maximum life
Another great mod would be 1 extra curse.
Boots
Rare BootsLook for rare boots with at least 70 life, 30% movement speed and as much resistance as possible.
Left Ring
Rare Vulnerability on Hit RingLook for rare ring with “Curse enemies with Vulnerability on hit” mod.
Other good mods would be maximum life and non-channeling skills have -x to mana cost bench crafted mod.
Right Ring
Circle of GuiltLook for Circle of Guilt with increased buff effect and increased physical damage while affected by Herald of Purity.
Rings like that will probably be really expensive at the beginning of the league, so one of these mods would also work until you have enough currency for both.
Amulet
Rare AmuletLook for rare amulet with at least 50 life, 30% global critical strike chance and 30% global critical strike multiplier.
You can also craft Projectile Speed & Projectile damage with crafting bench.
Belt
Ryslatha's CoilGreat offensive belt for the build, but quite expensive.
Until you can afford it, use rare Stygian Vise with high life and resistances.
1Hand Weapon
The SaviourGreat endgame sword for the build.
It’s not the cheapest one, so use regular foil with as high pDPS as you can get.
Offhand
ParadoxicaParadoxica is an amazing endgame option for the build, but also quite expensive. Get one with as high physical damage as possible.
Until you can afford it, use foil with as high pDPS as possible.
Jewel
Jewel SetupOn rare jewels look for following mods:
1.) Global critical strike multiplier / critical strike multiplier while dual wielding
2.) Increased maximum life
3.) Resistances / Attributes if you need them
Endgame build also uses Watcher’s Eye with additional impales or increased Attack Physical Damage while affected by Pride. Keep in mind, Pride Watcher’s Eyes are usually very expensive, so you could use regular rare jewel until/if you an afford it.
Flask
Flask SetupBuild uses following flasks:
1.) Dying Sun
2.) Divine life flask with bleed removal
3.) Diamond Flask with freeze removal
4.) Bottled Faith (if you can afford it) / Rumi’s Concoction
5.) Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline
