[3.18] Chaos Cyclone Shockwave Occultist | Full Build

Intro & build description

While I would not suggest playing this build as a league starter due to its reliance on multiple key uniques to start really shining, this would be one of the must-play builds in the Sentinel league due to its overall balance of damage and defenses paired with insane clear-speed and easy of gameplay with flashy explosions.

Build Pros

  • Insane damage
  • Insane tankyness
  • Very satisfying gameplay
  • Insane clear with chain explosions
  • Very good single target damage and survivability
  • Multiple curses

Build Cons

  • Build relies on lots of uniques to truly start shining
  • Can get quite expensive

Build uniques / Example rare gear

Tip: Click on the item to view it on PoE Wiki or to view similar rare items in poe.trade

Rare Helm

Rare helm with high life and elemental resistances. BiS options on the helm would include

*1% increased Critical Strike Chance per 10 Strength
*Gain Accuracy Rating equal to your Strength
*Nearby Enemies have -12% to Chaos Resistance

but such dual influence item might be unattainable for most.

Body Armour

The Iron Fortress

One of the key pieces for the build.

Meginord's Vise

An amazing pair of gloves. If you can, get a corrupted pair with despair on hit.

Replica Alberon's Warpath

The most expensive item of the build which lets us do chaos damage.

Left Ring

Rare Ring

A rare ring ideally with an implicit modifier to increase the strength % and a high roll on the right itself. Rest is secondary.

Right Ring

Rare Ring

A rare ring ideally with an implicit modifier to increase the strength % and a high roll on the right itself. Rest is secondary.

Rare Amber Amulet

As with rest of the gear, we want amulet that has a base strength and % strength modifier paired with % attributes modifier but such items can be very expensive. Getting a good roll of strength with one of the % modifiers would do just fine for now.

Rare Belt

Ideally we want a belt with the % increased strength as an implicit and get as much strength as possible for the roll as our goal is strength stacking.

1Hand Weapon

Replica Frostbreath

Replica Frostbreath enables chaos damage to chill the enemies and thus to deal double damage. This weapon synergizes amazingly with the rest of the gear.

Redblade Banner

Shield allows Warcries to have infinite Power.

This specific build uses 4x of these jewels. As we are stacking stats, this one is a no-brainer.

Efficient Training

Another strength stacking jewel. Socket it in the jewel slot near the Mind over Matter keystone.

Split Personality

Build utilizes two of these jewels. Ideally we want to get the jewel with strength and life roll.

We want to convert as much dexterity into strength as possible. Socket this jewel in the socket next to the Glatiator’s Perseverance notable.

Watcher's Eye

4% increased maximum Energy Shield
6% increased maximum Life
5% increased maximum Mana
+48% to Chaos Resistance while affected by Purity of Elements
31% faster start of Energy Shield Recharge while affected by Discipline
You take 52% reduced Extra Damage from Critical Strikes while affected by Determination

Lethal Pride

Socket the jewel next to Savagery and Vigour notables.

Emperor's Might

I added this jewel in the build as a bonus since it is not attainable for most of the players due to its rarity and cost, however, if you have the means, this jewel is insane for the build.

By no means this jewel is necessary.

Flask Setup

1. Bottled Faith
2. Alarmed Divine Life Flask of Perenniality
3. Delinquent’s Granite Flask of the Owl
4. Masochist’s Silver Flask of the Dove
5. Alchemist’s Quicksilver Flask of the Pangolin
