[3.19] Omniscience Lightning Strike Champion | Full Build

Intro & build description

Omniscience amulet has seen some nerfs this league and it’s expected that it will see a slight price decrease. The main selling point is the relative ease of getting %elemental damage penetration, which usually requires quite a bit of investment. This Lightning strike champion build is a perfect example of how to effectively use this amulet.
Due to the fact that we get a lot of damage from the amulet, we can focus a bit more on tankiness for this build. That way we get a perfectly balanced character, capable of fast map clear and boss farming.

If Omniscience stays expensive, an alternate approach is to use 2 Replica Dreamfether Swords and Doryani’s Prototype body armor, until you can get Omniscience.

Build Pros

  • Tanky - has high spell suppression, armor, and evasion as well as less damage taken from sapped monsters, fortify
  • High damage
  • Fast clear speed and permanent onslaught due to belt and Champion ascendancy synergy
  • Good league starter

Build Cons

  • Reflect will kill you

Build uniques / Example rare gear

Tip: Click on the item to view it on PoE Wiki or to view similar rare items in poe.trade

Rare Helmet

Look for rare helmet with life, high attributes (100+ combined). Other desirable mods are increased mana reservation efficiency (Essence of loathing craft). Good helm base, if you are going to craft helm yourself, is Blizzard Crown.

Cheaper alternative that you could use is Fractal Thoughts.

Body Armour

Rare Body Armour

Look for rare 6-linked body armour, ideally an Armour/Evasion base.

Mods to look for are at least 90 maximum life, at least 20% spell suppression, attributes and resistances.

Rare Gloves

Look for rare gloves with high life, 2 resistance mods and increased attack speed.

For prefix, good craft would be increased damage while leeching, especially if you get Brutal Fervor through Forbidden Flame & Flesh Jewels.

Rare Boots

Look for rare boots with high life, 30% movement speed and 2 attribute modifiers (str & dex or int).

Left Ring

Rare Ring

On Rings, look for at least 50 life, 2 attribute modifiers (at least +100 combined to dex/int/str). An amazing additional mod to have would be increased elemental damage with attacks.

Right Ring

Rare Ring

Same mods as previously mentioned ring.

Crystallized Omniscience

Core item of the build, farm for it as soon as you can.
This item is dropped by Searing Exarch, so might be useful to allocate atlas passives in order to farm him faster if you are not buying the amulet.

An excellent belt that gives us free onslaught and a lot of damage scaling later on.

1Hand Weapon

Endgame build uses Paradoxica. Get one with blood rage & attacks penetrate elemental resistances.

Before you can afford it, you can use regular one-handed sword like Foil with high elemental DPS, global critical strike chance and increased attack speed.

Rare Shield

Look for a regular rare shield with high life, some spell suppression and resistances.

If your resistances are capped, increased maximum resistance mod would be a good choice.

The Interrogation

An excellent jewel to strive for later on in the game – it gives you a noticeable boost in survivability as well as damage.

Large Cluster Jewels

This build uses 2 large cluster jewels with 8 passive skills and 3 notables.

Notables to look for:

1) Fuel The Fight
2) Martial Prowess
3) Bloodscent (On 1 of the jewels)
4) Feed The Fury

Your best bet to get 3 notable jewels like that would be to buy/delirium farm white base and craft them in Harvest by using “more physical modifiers” crafts.

Regular Rare Jewels -> Watcher's Eye & Forbidden Flame/Flesh

Look for rare jewels with following mods:

1) Increased maximum life
2) Increased attack speed with swords
3) Global critical strike multiplier
4) Other useful mods like attributes and resistances

Later on, substitute these jewels with Forbidden Flame / Forbidden Flesh with Brutal Fervour and Watcher’s Eye with increased attack speed while affected by precision / Life gained on hit while affected by Vitality / Damage Penetrates x% Lightning resistance while affected by Wrath.

Build uses following flasks:

1) Jade Flask with reduced curse effect
2) Ruby Flask with increased critical strike chance during flask effect
3) Topaz Flask with increased armour during flask effect
4) Sapphire Flask with increased attack speed during flask effect
5) Granite Flask with increased evasion rating during flask effect.

Craft your flasks with Instilling orbs to have “Used when Charges reach full” enchantment.
