Intro & build description

Poison seismic trap has been one of the best league starters for a while, and in this league, it has received a buff through curse improvements as well as a bug fix of one of the masteries. This is one of the builds that can kill uber bosses with 1-2 divine investments if you have the skill for it. So it’s safe to say, it’s going to be one of the best league starters for the new league.

Helmet

The Devouring Diadem

This is one of the first chase items of the build, beside Cold Iron point.

In the first days it will probably cost around 80-120c, so until you can get it, just use rare helmet with high life and resistances and drop Determination / Grace auras if you cannot support them.


Body Armour

Rare Shaper Body Armour

As your 1st 6-link, go for Tabula Rasa.

After that, there are multiple choices that you can make:

1) Rare shaper armour with +1 to active skill gems, high life and crafted % maximum life and mana. This option will overall give you bigger life pool, while still giving +1 to skills.

2) Skin of The Lords with Magebane keystone.
This would allow us to save 1 skill point as well as give +2 levels of our skill gems.


Gloves

Rare Gloves

Look for rare gloves with high life and high elemental resistances.


Boots

Rare Boots

Look for generic rare boots with 30% movement speed, at least 80 to max life and high resistances.

Good implicit for your boots would be “Gain x% of physical damage as extra chaos damage”.


Left Ring

Ming's Heart

Amazing ring for the build. You can even go ahead and use 2x of them until you obtain rare ring with damage over time multiplier.


Right Ring

Rare Essence Crafted Ring

Our rare ring we can easily craft ourselves.

Steps:

1) Get a ring with high fractured life
2) Get an essence of delirium and use it on your ring.
3) Craft an additional mod of your choice.


Amulet

Rare Amulet

Look for rare amulet with Chaos damage over time multiplier and high life.

+1 to chaos skill gems mod in combination with dot multi and life is a nice upgrade to strive for.


Amulet

Rare Belt

Look for rare belt, ideally Stygian vise with high life and resistances.

Increased trap throwing speed is a good additional mod to craft on your belt.


1Hand Weapon

Cold Iron Point

Cold iron point is our endgame weapon of choice.

Until you can get it, use regular dagger with increased spell damage and ideally +1 to physical skill gems.


Offhand

Rare Shield

Look for rare shield with high life, spell suppression and some res. Craft “Gain x% of Physical Damage as extra chaos damage” on your shield.


Jewel

Jewel Setup

Without jewels, this build has 90% chance to poison on hit, so we use jewels to get it to 100%.

Look for following mods on your jewels:

1) 5% Chance to poison on hit (Mandatory mod on 2 rare jewels)
2) Chaos damage over time multiplier
3) Increased maximum life
4) Increased chaos damage

This build uses following flasks:

1) Divine Life flask with bleed removal
2) Granite Flask
3) Quicksilver Flask
4) Jade Flask
5) Quartz Flask
