[3.8] Divine Ire Shadow (Trickster)

Intro & build description

Divine Ire is one of the recently added skills that can be scaled to millions of DPS, obliterating even the toughest bosses. This Blight build will certainly help you enjoy the new league and clear pretty much all of the content Path of Exile has to offer. The build uses newly added body armor The Eternity Shroud which allows for your character to get a high amount of extra chaos damage by equipping as many Shaper items as possible.

Build Pros

  • Can be scaled to extremely high DPS numbers
  • Good clear speed
  • Shaper, Uber Arziri and Uber Elder viable

Build Cons

  • Not the cheapest of builds
  • Elemental reflect is a problem, even though most of our damage is Chaos

Helmet

Hubris Circlet (Shaped)

The build uses Shaped Hubris circlet that we craft using fossils.

The crafting process would go as follows:

1.) Get white Shaped Hubris Circlet
2.) Use 2 Socket Resonator with Pristine and Aberrant Fossils
3.) Roll the helmet until you get at least 80 life and Nearby Enemies have -x% to Chaos resistance mods.
4.) Craft Resistance or Extra energy shield on it using crafting bench

Body Armour

The Eternity Shroud

Eternity Shroud is a chest armour that should be your goal since it gives the build insane damage boost.

It sells for ~10 Exalted Orbs, but you should be able to farm that in a week or so if you play consistently and with goal in mind.

Gloves

Rare Gloves (Shaped)

You should look for rare Shaper gloves with as much life and resistances as you can get.

Boots

Rare Boots (Shaped)

Look for rare Shaper boots with high life and movement speed. Extra resistances are great bonuses.

Left Ring

Call of The Brotherhood

This build uses a lot of conversion in order to take advantage of extra elemental damage.

2x Call of The Brotherhood are must have rings for the build.

Right Ring

Call of The Brotherhood

We need 2 of these.

Amulet

Rare Amulet (Shaped)

Rare Shaper amulet is a must have, not only because it increases our damage from Eternity Shroud, but for rare mods it can roll.

On our amulet we should primarily look for “Gain x% of Physical damage as extra Lightning/Cold damage”. If you can get both cold and lightning mods, it’s ideal.

Maximum life is obviously another great mod to have, so are attributes, resistances or Critical Strike Multiplier.

Belt

Rare Leather Belt (Shaped)

Look for Shaper Leather belt with at least 80 life and as much resistances as you can get.

1Hand Weapon

Rare Sceptre (Shaped)

Look for rare Shaper sceptre, ideally of at least 85 item level for maximum possible damage.

1.) Roll it with orbs of alteration until you get “Gain 16-20% of Elemental Damage as Extra Chaos Damage” mod.
2.) Regal the sceptre and hope for a good mod
3.) Craft Can have mutliple crafted modifiers on the sceptre
4.) Craft some of these mods: Lightning damage to spells, increased critical strike chance for spells, spell damage / Gain x% of Non-Chaos Damage as extra chaos damage

Offhand

Rare Spirit Shield (Shaped)

Ideally look for Shaper Spirit shield with high life and resistances.

Spell damage, cast speed or critical strike chance for spells or even maximum resistances would also be great mods to have on your shield.

Jewel

Jewel Setup

Look for jewels with following mods:

1.) Increased maximum life / +to maximum life (Abyss jewels)
2.) Critical strike multiplier with elemental skills / lightning skills
3.) Increased Spell Damage
4.) Cold / Lightning / Chaos damage to spells (Abyss jewels)
5.) Increased Energy shield / + To maximum energy shield (Abyss Jewels)

You should also look for a Watcher’s Eye when you can afford it.
Ideal mod on it would be “Gain x% of Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage while affected by Wrath”

Flask

Flask Setup

Build uses following flasks:

1.) Instant Recovery Divine Life flask with bleed removal
2.) Diamond Flask with Curse Removal
3.) Quicksilver Flask with freeze removal
4.) Atziri’s Promise
5.) Bottled Faith

Feel free to share your thoughts/experiences/tips about the build in comments section below.

About gems

Always tries to keep up with the game, its ever-changing mechanisms and explain them in understandable manner.

  1. Can you explain how you use the two auras with 50% mana reserve?

    • We reserve 100% of the mana but because we use Eldritch Battery, we can still use skills spending energy shield.

  2. How can we build endurance charges using this build for immortal call?

    • Immortal call is used without endurance charges – it works anyways. You could swap it with Steelskin as well, it’s a pretty good option.
