Intro & build description
Build specifically designed to kill Shaper as quickly as possible. Build uses cluster traps support to create multiple overlapping Firestorms that are partly (Or fully if using legacy gear) converted to chaos damage that is further boosted with Wither. Gear can get pricey if you want all the top tier items for your character but people with smaller currency pools should also be able to pull this one off.

- Huge damage (millions of dps)
- No problems with elemental reflect
- Large AoE and fast clear
- Can kill Shaper, Uber Atziri and other strong bosses extremely quickly

Hubris CircletStat priority:
1.)Energy shield (Look for at least 270-300 ES)

3.)Stats (Intelligence, Dexterity, Strength)
Body Armour
Infernal MantleBest in slot chest for this build because it converts your fire damage to chaos. Try to get at least 5-linked chest, but ideally you should aim for 6-linked.
Gloves
Sorcerer GlovesStat priority:
1.)Energy shield (Look for at least 170-200 ES)
2.)Resistances
3.)Stats (Intelligence, Dexterity, Strength)
Boots
Sorcerer BootsStat priority:
1.)Energy shield (Look for at least 200-220 ES)

Note: you can also get boots with increased movement speed, but they will only cost more and will provide limited value because we are using Whirling Blades as our movement skill.
1Hand Weapon
The Consuming DarkThis build uses 2x The Consuming Dark daggers for maximum fire to chaos damage conversion. Also allows us to use Whirling Blades.
Offhand

Amulet
Onyx AmuletAmulet is not that important for this build but you can boost damage pretty well if you find very good amulet – look for stats that scale our build:
1.)Increased Fire damage
2.)Increased Chaos damage
3.)Energy Shield & Resistances
Left Ring
Two-Stone RingStat priority:
1.)Energy shield – look for as much ES as possible.
Good option is to use masters to craft %increased maximum Energy Shield on your Ring.

Shavronne's RevelationLet me note that this ring is NOT mandatory for the build but can be a nice addition. If you cannot afford it, just go for rare ring like the one previously described.
If you have Shavronne’s Revelation – use it in Right Ring slot for ES regeneration and have one Mana Flask on you.
Belt
Doryani's InvitationGood belt for damage and defensive stats.
It goes without saying but only use %Increased fire damage version.
Flask
FlasksFor flasks go for your own preferences but rule of thumb would be to have:
1.)Mana flask if you are using Shavronne’s Revelation
2.)Granite flask for Armour
3.)Basalt Flask for physical damage reduction
4.)Quicksilver flask for movement speed
5.)Either Atziri’s Promise or Resistance flask of your choice
Jewel
Cobalt JewelIn Jewels you should primarily look for following stats:
1.)Increased Chaos damage
2.)Increased Area damage
3.)Increased Trap damage
The Jewels in Link are combinations of all 3 these stats and can be expensive – 2 of these stats on 1 jewel would be great too.
Optionally look for:
1.)Increased Energy shield
2.)Resists (if you need them)
3.)Stats (if you need them)

Yes, it does work in HC.
Why Orb of Storms?
It will apply shock to enemies.
still viable in 2.6?
Yep, gem setup is adjusted a bit but it’s still viable.
at level 41 atm, have next to no damage, no health, and no energy, can’t get past belly of the beast part 2 without sprinting past it, i still don’t know why this is a trap build since it doesn’t seem to have any trap gems in it.
Try using Tabula Rasa for damage. We do have traps – in body armour you can see Trap Support which turns our supported firestorm into trap, Cluster Traps support makes us throw multiple traps that overlap for more damage.
You should probably upgrade gear if you have no life and ES, get pieces with as high energy shield and life as you can find and you should be fine.

Sure, Eye of Chayula is good choice. You can also pick up Kiara’s Determination flask if you don’t want to use Eye of Chayula.

Depends on your skill but it should be possible, yes.

DO the unique jewels affecting traps help this build? Ie 10%less duration 1 extra trap

i really like this you guys builds, i just wish you would break the skill tree into 10 or 15 level steps so i can tell what you took at what level. otherwise great builds.
