Intro & build description
This is a great all-around build that is pretty cheap to start off yet scales incredibly well into the endgame. Molten Strike is one of the best single target skills in the game, so naturally, this build can deal with Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri and all the other endgame bosses.
Build Pros
- Great for killing bosses
- Very fast map clear
- With some minor adjustments (Sybil's Lament and hybrid flask) can do all map mods
- Great as a league starter
Build Cons
- Ele reflect can kill you (but there are countermeasures such as Pantheon and Sybil's Lament)

Rat's Nest / Starkonja's HeadRat’s Nest would be great damage option for the build. Ideal enchant would be 3 additional Molten Strike projectiles or 40% increased Molten Strike damage which is cheaper.
Budget option: Starkonja’s Head
Body Armour
Belly of The Beast / Tabula RasaBelly is a great defensive option for the build.
Budget option: Tabula Rasa (but we you will be pretty squishy)
Gloves
Gripped Gloves / Other rare glovesIdeally look for Gripped gloves with life and resistances. Attack speed and flat elemental damage are great bonuses.
Other good options would be rare Spiked Gloves or Maligaro’s Virtuosity if you want more damage.
Boots
Two-Toned Boots / Other rare bootsLook for boots with as much life and resistances as you can find. Since the build uses Shield Charge to move around, movement speed isn’t that important on the boots (but if you can, still get it).
Left Ring
Rare Opal / Diamond / Two-Stone RingIdeally your rings should at least 50 to maximum life, at least 30% increased elemental damage with Attack Skills, one resistance and one of the following:
1.) x-x lightning / fire / cold damage to attacks
2.) Another resistance
3.) Attack Speed
Right Ring
Rare Opal / Diamond / Two-Stone RingLook for pretty much the same thing as previous ring.
Amulet
Rare Amulet - Turqoise / Agate baseOn your amulet look for:
1.) Life
2.) Critical Strike Multiplier
3.) Resistances
4.) Adds x-x lightning / cold / fire damage
5.) Any attributes you are lacking
Belt
Stygian Vise / Leather beltLook for Stygian Vise or Leather belt with as much life and resistances as you can find. Elemental damage with attack skills is excellent bonus but can get a bit expensive.
1Hand Weapon
Imperial ClawAs a base choose Imperial claw because of its high base attack speed.
On our claw, 2 most important stats are its attack speed and critical strike chance in that order.
Look for claw with at least 1.9 attacks per second and with base critical strike chance above 8.6.
Next stats in priority would be flat lightning damage and other elemental damage.
Budget option: Ornament of The East
Offhand
LycosidaeLycosidae would be the best offhand slot when used together with rare crit claw.
Budged option: Use any rare evasion shield together with Ornament of The East
Jewel
Builds jewelsThis build uses 2x Wildfire Jewels, get them as soon as you can. Make sure you put them in the right sockets – Wildfire jewels are so called threshold jewels and they need total of 40 strength in their radius in order to work.
On rare jewels look for following stats in priority:
1.) %increased maximum life
2.) +to maximum life (stat found on abyss jewels)
3.) Critical strike multiplier (with fire skills / elemental skills / one handed weapons)
4.) Increased attack speed / damage / critical strike chance
5.) Any attributes or resistances if you are lacking
Flask
Flask SetupBuild uses following flasks:
1.) Diamond Flask (highest damage boost for the build)
2.) Vessel of Vinktar (adds lightning damage to attacks version)
3.) Atziri’s Promise
4.) Divine Life flask with instant recovery and bleed removal
5.) Dying Sun (if you can afford it) or another life flask
Build is inspired by GornoDD’s build on Path of Exile forums.
Whats the potentil DPS on this build?
Huge, potentially in millions. Could take every boss down in really short time with good enough gear.
Hi,
Is this build still as good for 3.4? If so, are you going to provide an updated skill tree?
Thanks!
Is so, I would love to play this build but if its no longer good I can swap to another
What do you think of using Ancestral call instead of either concentrated effect or elemental focus? Would that result in better clear speed and about the same dps?
Thanks!
